General diagnostic X-ray examination

X-ray examination of the head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine, and limbs. Patients should remove metal objects on the body according to the examination site. For chest and abdomen examinations, female patients should take off the underwear containing metal steel rings and metal buckles and change into the examination gown and wait in the waiting area for the examination. Female patients who may be pregnant must inform the examiner immediately.

64-slice CT scan

General CT scan of head, chest, abdomen, extremities or CTA of head, chest, abdomen, and extremities. If a contrast medium needs to be administered, the patient must fast for at least 4 hours. The administration of a contrast medium can help visualize blood vessels and lesions to facilitate the interpretation by doctors. The patient must fill out a consent form and inform the examiner whether they have a history of drug allergy. The patient needs to remove metal objects on the body according to the examination site. Female patients who may be pregnant must inform the examiner immediately.

MRI

General examination of head, abdomen, pelvis, spine, and limbs. If the administration of a contrast medium is required, the contrast medium can help visualize blood vessels and lesions to facilitate the interpretation by doctors. The most significant difference from computed tomography is that MRI does not involve radiation. Because the MRI room belongs to a high magnetic field area, patients cannot bring with them any metal objects or electronic products, such as iron wheelchairs, crutches, and smartphones. Patients with a pacemaker are not allowed to enter and should change to other alternative examinations. It takes more time to receive MRI examinations (20 to 30 minutes).

Mammography

General mammography and mammography stereotactic biopsy. Patients who intend to receive the “National Health Promotion Administration Breast Cancer Screening” should go to the screening station to fill in the questionnaire and consent form and go to the Department to receive the examination. Breast compression is required during the examination, which may cause some discomfort to the patients. Female patients who may be pregnant must inform the examiner immediately.

Cystourethrography

After using an intravenous contrast medium, it is possible to assess whether the urinary system is obstructed or not, with or without obstruction or other lesions. The examination time is 30 minutes. Patients need to remove any metal objects in the abdomen. Due to the need to administer the contrast medium, patients must fast for at least 4 hours. Patients need to fill out a consent form and inform the examiner if they have a history of drug allergies. Female patients who may be pregnant must inform the examiner immediately.

Special Imaging

Upper and lower gastrointestinal imaging, enterography, colonography, HSG, AP, and PTCD. Fluoroscopic X-ray machines are used to perform various in vivo examinations. The preparation methods vary with examination methods. The medication methods and the need to fast or not vary with examination items.

Angiography

Interventional examinations include head and neck, chest, abdomen, pelvic cavity, extremity arterial angiography and embolization, biliary stent placement, and thrombolysis. Patients need to be hospitalized and fill in various examination instructions and consent forms.

DEXA bone density scan

Lumbar spine, femur, and neck bone mineral density tests are performed to assess the bone status and prevent osteoporosis. Patients only need to remove metal objects from the lumbar spine. A bone density scan is a simple, fast and safe examination method.

Mobile X-ray machine

A mobile X-ray machine is used for immobile patients. Mobile X-ray machine is used to meet the needs of the Department of Internal Medicine, Department of Surgery, PICU, operating room, emergency room, wards on various floors, and respiratory treatment room.

X-ray tour vehicle

The X-ray tour vehicle is used for tuberculosis screening in mountainous villages, communities, prisons, other regional units, schools, institutions, and othersrequiring many X-ray chest examinations or elderly health examinations. Furthermore, special radiologists are assigned to travel with the tour vehicle.

X-ray mammography tour vehicle

The tour vehicle goes to various townships, towns, communities, health centers, and other units to serve women who need breast screening.A female radiologist qualified for breast screening by the National Health Promotion Administration will be assigned to travel with the tour vehicle.
