About the Department |
|
In various surgeries, the task of the anesthesiology staff mainly involves keeping patients safe through the challenges of surgery. The staff watches over the patients while undergoing invasive procedures. On the other hand, the Department specializes in managing complications during various procedures, ensuring patients are pain-free during surgery.
Our core mission is to ensure the safety of every patient through the process of surgery. The training of personnel and the establishment of systems in the department always consider reducing the risk of anesthesia as the highest guiding principle.
Mennonite Hospital’s anesthesiologists come from major medical centers in Taiwan, possessing certain levels of seniority. They have accumulated sufficient knowledge and experience to undertake the important tasks of clinical work.Meanwhile, our anesthesia nurses are also fully trained by the medical center to provide medical center–level care for patients during anesthesia.
With the changes in the living and eating habits of people in Taiwan in recent years, the incidence of gastrointestinal discomfort and malignant tumors has also increased year by year. Early diagnosis and treatment are the best response of contemporary medicine to such challenges. Therefore, we are also developing painless gastroscopy and colonoscopy services, hoping that patients can comfortably complete these invasive examinations while reducing risks. In particular, we hope that the patients in Hualien will no longer hesitate to seek medical treatment due to the discomfort of gastrointestinal endoscopy, which may result in delayed treatment.
Ultimately, the Department always aims to provide faster and more comfortable intraoperative and postoperative recovery. Therefore, with a wide variety of postoperative pain relief options and contemporary novel precision anesthesia, our team of professional anesthesiologists is ready to provide the best quality of care.
